Volunteering for Velvet Heart involves more than just your time. You will be contributing to the fairer, more just world that all children deserve when you volunteer with us. We are confident that this vision can be realised if we work together to make it so. Come as a group, with a companion, or on your own!

Volunteer at our headquarters in New York

FOR GROUPS

Come volunteer with your friends, family (ages 7 and up welcome), coworkers, colleagues, or parent group! Come spend two hours with us Monday through Friday in our New York, California office. We'll assign your group to work on important initiatives that support our national efforts to assist children and families. We need a cash contribution for groups larger than forty in order to run the meeting and get enough supplies for your projects.

FOR COMPANIES

Allow us to assist you in fostering a culture of kindness and unity in your company. Your team will have a personalised experience learning about Velvet Heart's work and how your support affects the children we serve during your session. We may conduct a session at your place of business or host groups of 20–200 people at our headquarters. Depending on the size of the team, a cash donation for services rendered might be necessary.

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Arrive alone, depart with a full heart and new friends. Come help out wherever assistance is needed by joining us at our headquarters. Click below to view our current schedule of events. Host a Drive

A Velvet Heart drive can be organised in three different ways.

When you organise an in-person drive, you will pick up your Velvet Heart bin from our headquarters in New York, USA. Our team will also work with you to ensure that you have all the necessary supplies, such as brochures to advertise the event and a list of the most important things.

By hosting a virtual drive, you can assist us in restocking on necessities that will be transported straight from a virtual wishlist to our warehouse and given to the kids we assist.

By utilising our connections with manufacturers and wholesalers, you may extend the value of your donations when you organise a monetary drive. To help your fundraiser succeed, we will supply you marketing materials, a personalised fundraising page, and much more.

Volunteer at Home

When it’s convenient for you, create Velvet Heart Hygiene Kits in the comfort of your own home! You will receive a list of items to buy (about $15 for each kit) and assemble. We can also send you a video to show others about Velvet Heart and the difference your group will be making if you’re rallying support. This is a fantastic exercise that teaches kids the importance of volunteering.

Intern With Us

Through mentorship from committed and involved supervisors, Velvet Heart’s internship program offers prospective leaders the chance to learn and build abilities at a prestigious organisation. We provide an internship program every semester for students who want to develop the abilities necessary for a prosperous future in the nonprofit industry and beyond. All interns must be eligible to receive academic credit for the work, which is done at our headquarters in New York.
