We’re Hiring: Event Manager at Velvetheart.org

Velvetheart.org is looking for a passionate and experienced Event Manager to join our growing team. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and trauma through local partnerships, fundraising initiatives, and powerful community events.

We host galas, awareness campaigns, donor brunches, and special fundraising evenings—and we need someone like you to help bring them to life.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, manage, and execute impactful events that align with our mission
• Coordinate venues, vendors, volunteers, and entertainment
• Develop creative event concepts that drive awareness and donations
• Work closely with our founder, Tamara Fellner, on VIP and press engagements
• Manage event budgets, timelines, and post-event follow-ups
• Collaborate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns
• Represent Velvetheart at in-person events and engage with our supporters

What We’re Looking For

• A heart for social impact and a love for mission-driven work
• 3+ years of experience in event planning or nonprofit fundraising
• Exceptional communication, multitasking, and leadership skills
• Strong eye for design, storytelling, and creating unforgettable experiences
• Ability to work some evenings/weekends (event-based)
• Based in Los Angeles or able to travel to in-person events
